Zach Peterson, LPC
I help men and women who feel stuck, overwhelmed, or disconnected from what matters most. My approach is rooted in discovering your authenticity, clarifying your values, and taking steps toward the life you want, even when challenges arise. Therapy with me is collaborative, practical, and interactive, with space for reflection as well as skill-building you can use outside of sessions.
I believe the most effective therapy is flexible and responsive to you. Sometimes that means exploring past experiences and messages that shaped your beliefs. Other times, it means focusing on concrete tools for managing anxiety, stress, sadness, or self-doubt. Together, we will create an encouraging space where we can explore both struggles and successes while finding the answers that are right for you.
I specialize in anxiety in its many forms, including generalized worry, social anxiety, panic, and obsessive or intrusive thoughts. I also work with depression, low self-esteem, relationship struggles, and difficulty navigating life transitions. Instead of fighting difficult thoughts and feelings, we will work on noticing them without allowing them to control your life.
My goal is to help you build the skills to handle challenges while moving toward the relationships, goals, and values that give your life meaning. If you are ready to live more fully guided by your values rather than your fears, I would be honored to walk alongside you.
